Founded in 2018, Southern Dingoes are an AFL Masters club (35+) competing in the Sydney AFL Masters Competition. What began as a small, social outlet has grown into a thriving club of more than 65 members, now proudly fielding two teams and consistently competing at the pointy end of the ladder, including three Grand Final appearances in the past four seasons.
Through the ClubGRANTS program, Taren Point Bowling Club was proud to support the Dingoes with funding for essential equipment, including physio tables, training balls and match balls. These practical resources directly support player wellbeing, injury prevention and the long-term sustainability of the club.
At its core, the Dingoes provide far more than a game of footy. They offer connection, routine and purpose for men over 35 — a group particularly vulnerable to isolation and declining mental health. By backing clubs like the Southern Dingoes, Taren Point Bowling Club helps strengthen local networks, foster belonging and ensure our community continues to thrive through sport, connection and shared purpose.
