Today was a really special one at the club as we came together for Purple Friday.
So many of our staff and members got behind the day, wearing purple and showing their support in a simple but powerful way.

We started the day with a Coffee & Conversation session led by Bernadette Hoy from Orana Women’s Health and Jo Cracknell (Taren Point Director). It was an open and honest discussion around healthy relationships, with domestic violence at the heart of it.

Before social bowls, Mike Young spoke to our bowlers about mental health, domestic violence and how we can support each other as a community.

Around the club, flowers and info cards on tables helped spark conversation throughout the day, which is exactly what it’s all about.

A big thank you to Ari Bekker for everything behind the scenes, and to BMW for their support and the purple car on display.  Massive thanks to Bernadette, Mike and Jo for sharing your knowledge on such an important topic.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who wore purple and supported Orana Women’s Health, with all bowls fees and additional donations going towards their work.

A great day, for a really important cause.
