The Inclusive Education Unit — affectionately known as The Reef — at Woolooware High School is a vibrant new learning space that opened in 2025 to support students with disabilities, primarily those with Autism. Designed to foster confidence, connection, and growth, the program has quickly expanded — from one student in it’s first year to three current students and 11 new enrolments confirmed for 2026. This rapid growth reflects the sense of belonging and community the school is cultivating.

At The Reef, students are encouraged to explore their interests, develop independence, and engage in hands-on learning. Every Friday, they participate in a Community Access Program that helps build vital life skills such as communication, navigation, safety in public spaces, and using public transport confidently.

Taren Point Bowling Club is proud to support The Reef by providing funding for new recreational equipment, including pickleball and golfing equipment, as well as a range of ball games to enhance the students’ physical activity and social engagement. This contribution aims to encourage inclusion through sport, teamwork, and fun — creating opportunities for every student to participate and thrive.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Woolooware High School and supporting The Reef as it grows, helping ensure that every student feels valued, connected, and part of a truly inclusive community.
